Pubget, alongside Accelrys, Appistry, BiogenIdec, Linguamatics, Novartis are pleased to present

Life Science in the Cloud

It's estimated that cloud computing spending will account for 25% of IT expenditure growth in 2012 and nearly a third in 2013. In the life sciences, the amount of data managed by companies doubles about every three months (Bruce Maches, formerly Pfizer, 2011), making the industry prime for adopting secure cloud platforms.

Our goal is to explore cloud computing in Life Science from those that have been there: Novartis, BiogenIdec, Accelrys, Linguamatics and Pubget. The panel discussion will focus on the different use cases that cloud technology brings to research environments and the implications for IT.

Prior to our panel of industry experts, we'll hear from Keynote Speaker, Remy Evard, who will discuss how Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research has taken steps to move from in-house IT to more cloud based solutions.
